The building at a Glance

Antares is the highest residential building in Barcelona City, located in the vibrant Diagonal Mar district. Designed by internationally renowned architect Odile Decq, it opened its doors in 2022. A 30-story high, flowing structure overlooking the mediterranean sea, featuring 88 luxury apartments. 

The apartments start at a size of 115 square meters (1238 square feet), with one or two bedrooms, and at a price point of 1.15 million. We then go up, until we reach the 22nd floor where we find the luxury duplexes. These feature 4 bedrooms, an astounding 378 square meters (4069 square feet), and an incredible view. All at a price of 6.2 million. After that, if you still wish to go higher, we reach the 26th floor, where the Luxury Penthouse is located. Double-height ceilings and expansive windows all around, provide it with light and views that are unheard of.

The ground floor exhibits a restaurant run by Michelin star chef, Romain Fornell. On the rooftop, we find the sky terrace with an incredible pool. There is an indoor spa and a concierge service that could organise your next trip. All of these are only some of the fantastic amenities, that come with purchasing a property in this building.

Studio Odile Decq (the architect)

Studio Odile Decq started in the ’80s and is represented by Odile Decq. She takes on the role of project manager, while a core of in-house trained architects is in charge of developing the project. The studio has won an impressive list of awards throughout the years. In Antares Barcelona, Odile Decq has combined the flowing of the sea with her characteristic deep red. This lead to an incredible result, that has changed the Barcelona skyline forever.

Antares, the tallest residential tower in Barcelona and the last one of its kind to receive planning approval, is situated in the lively Diagonal Mar neighbourhood. With its 30 floors, the building boasts magnificent panoramic views of the sea, Montserrat mountains, and the Catalan capital. All of which can be enjoyed from spacious, well-designed private terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows.

“When they selected me, they told me that they thought my proposal better captured the spirit of Barcelona in my project,” Decq explains. “When I asked ‘why?’ they replied, ‘because of this red touch at the top. It’s a building that is joyful.'”

Is Antares Barcelona a good investment?

It’s impossible to predict the future, but we can make an educated guess by analyzing market trends, historical data, and location. At Property Management Barcelona, we believe that investing in Antares Barcelona today could yield good returns in the future.

Here’s why: Luxury properties near the sea are in high demand and short supply. In Barcelona, prices for properties close to the beach have steadily increased since the 1992 Summer Olympics.
